The bride and groom exchange vows before a magnificent stone altar. Guests gather beneath tall, stately pines. Music fills the woods, the scent of flowers in bloom drift up from the gardens, and the Cathedral bells ring out across the hills.
The main outdoor altar area seats up to 2,000 guests. Two small outdoor chapels offer the choice of smaller, more intimate weddings. An indoor chapel, used during inclement weather, is in the Cathedral's Hilltop House and seats 125 guests comfortably.
A bridal room inside the Hilltop House provides a place for the bridal party to relax and prepare for the ceremony.
The Cathedral’s sound system allows the ceremony to be heard by all guests, and ensures that musical selections are enjoyed by all. Recommended music options include classical, harp, flute, guitar, bagpipes, organ or keyboard. For recorded music, the bridal couple must provide their own compact disc or tape player.
Photo opportunities abound. In addition to the main altar with Grand Monadnock in the background, photo settings include a variety of gardens, pine woods, or the Memorial Bell Tower as backdrops.
Weddings are scheduled from May through mid-October. Ceremonies are performed at 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon, and at 2:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. The Cathedral is all-denominational. All religions and denominations are welcome.
