The Cathedral is open daily, May through October, from 9 am to 5 pm. A warm jacket is often necessary. Guided tours are available; groups are required to make reservations. There is a fee for group tours. Visitors may encounter a wide variety of services and celebrations and may wish to refer to our Calendar of Events page when planning a visit. In addition to our listed events, there are also weddings and family memorial services scheduled here on a regular basis. Please be quiet and respectful of all services, but also know that you are welcome to take a seat and enjoy the surroundings.
The Gift Shop features souvenirs, postcards and other memorabilia, including the beautiful photographs of the Cathedral of the Pines grounds by Gordon Ripley displayed on several pages of this web site.
The pavilion is available, by reservation, for group picnics, bus tours and small family gatherings for a small fee. Bring your own lunch or use the services of local caterers. Smoking is not permitted on Cathedral of the Pines grounds. Pets are only permitted on our grounds for our annual Blessing of the Animals at our St. Francis Chapel. This year that service will take place at 5:00pm on Sunday, September 28, 2008.
Visitors will find restaurants and overnight accommodations in the area, as well as many points of interest. Annett State Park, within one mile of the Cathedral is an excellent spot for picnics and other group outings. Nearby Mt. Monadnock is famous for its hiking trails and spectacular scenery.
